Audio Podcast

What is a podcast?

You can think of it like a radio broadcast over the internet. Unlike a regular audio file, you can subscribe to what’s called a podcast feed and have your computer automatically download new episodes which you can listen to at your convenience.

Do I need an iPod?

Not at all. You can listen to a podcast on any digital audio player or any computer with audio player software (which is pretty much any personal computer).

What do I need to subscribe to podcasts?

First, you need software that can go out and grab all the podcasts you choose. iTunes is a great option for both Mac and PC users, and Odeo is a great web-based alternative. With either of these, you can subscribe to to podcasts and listen on your computer. For podcasts to go, you need to sync your podcasts to an iPod or other portable digital audio player.
